RIBA a re committed to providing high quality support services for members, clients, industry associates & the public. To achieve this RIBA will upgrade the services to architects and the construction industry by providing better contract and agreement arrangements and by developing technical support to meet the changing market needs.

RIBA has pledged its full backing to the Construction Skills Certification Scheme.  The Construction Industry Skills Scheme was established in 1993 by the Construction Industry Employers Council in response to declining standards of workmanship on site. The scheme aims to extend certification of all construction personnel.

RIBA established a Constructive Change Committee in response to the DTI's Rethinking Construction report 'Rethinking Construction'.  The committee set out a three-part agenda for action:

1. Best value for customers;

2. Better interfaces between members and the whole supply chain;

3. Enhance architectural skills.
